YHAU-CL/CH Hot Water Chiller

Driven by low temperature hot water using de-ionized water as the refrigerant.

These units are typically driven by low temperature hot water as low as 158F/70C that is available in CHP (cogeneration) system or industrial facilities.

These units are ideally suited for a variety of comfort or industrial process cooling applications.

  • Advancing Efficiency by Design – Compared to conventional designs, the YORK® YHAU-CL Hot Water absorption chiller uses an innovative two-step evaporator and absorber cycle that splits the absorption process into two steps, similar to how a series-counter-flow arrangement splits the work between two chillers.
  • Flexible Operating Envelope – This unit can operate where typically the competitive offerings cannot. The two-step design provides a wide operating envelope utilizing waste heat as low as 158F/70C.
