The Flushing Community School District in Michigan enrolls over 4,200 students in eight school buildings located in a 65-square-mile area. In order to help them monitor student behavior and protect students, staff, and property, they needed a video surveillance system that was intuitive, easy to maintain, and could operate on standard servers.

This case study shows how exacqVision video management software provided the solution. The software is installed on two industry standard servers and manages 149 IP cameras located throughout the eight buildings. Each school has the exacqVision client installed and allows principals and secretaries to access the cameras for their respective buildings. When an incident is reported, the digital video can easily be searched and shown to students, parents, or police per school board policy.
